How we work
- Small team, high ownership. Everyone ships. Roles are wide on purpose.
- Built in Lagos, used everywhere. We build for Nigerian conditions because they're the hardest, then take what we learn elsewhere.
- Long horizon. We're building infrastructure. Quality, performance, and the boring details compound.
- Async-first, in-person often. Written communication is the default. We get together regularly in Lagos.
Open roles
We don't have public roles open right now. We're always open to hearing from exceptional engineers, designers, and commerce operators, especially if you've shipped something hard and have a point of view about commerce in Africa.
What we look for
- Bias for shipping. You'd rather see something live than perfect on a slide.
- Taste for the underlying problem, not the surface one.
- Comfort with ambiguity: we're early, and the map isn't fully drawn.
- Care about merchants. The people using Tradia run real businesses; the bar is set by what makes their day better, not by what's clever.
